How can counselling help?

Counselling can give you an opportunity to be heard, to be seen and to work through your difficulties without judgement, in a way that you may not be able to elsewhere in your life.

Counselling may be seen as being for people who ‘need help’ or have experienced deep trauma. Whilst this is true, counselling can also be a tool to help you understand your life better, help you to find meaning and help you create a deeper sense of self.

Most people today are time-poor, and blocking out time for ourselves can be tricky and may feel indulgent, but it can be incredibly worthwhile.

Talking to somebody who isn’t attached to your life can feel liberating and is an important factor in the counselling process.
