Single session counselling

Single session counselling is different from traditional, ongoing counselling.

The focus is on what is happening for you in the here and now, with an emphasis on helping you gain clarity and explore possible ways forward, rather than exploring areas of your life or history in depth.

Once you have identified your goal, we will work together during the session to understand what may be going on for you, explore what might help, and consider how you can put this into practice in your everyday life. You will leave with greater clarity about how to move forward and a better understanding of the resources and strengths you can draw on.

I work both online (Zoom) and in-person. I hold face-to-face sessions at Therapy Space East in Shoreditch and Camden Therapy and Aashna in North London.

Who is it for?

Single session counselling can be helpful if you are facing a specific dilemma, feeling stuck with something, or would like support to work through a particular challenge and take action.

It can be a useful option if you are unable to commit to regular therapy, or would simply prefer a focused session to help you gain clarity and explore a way forward. It can also be helpful for emotional challenges that do not require ongoing therapeutic support.

A single session is not suitable if you are in crisis, or if you would like to explore multiple or more complex issues that need additional time and space. In these circumstances, ongoing counselling may be more appropriate.

How much does it cost?

A single counselling session costs £85 for a 50-minute session.

Single session counselling is designed to offer focused support for a specific issue within one session. If, following our session, it feels that further support would be helpful, we can discuss the option of follow-up sessions.
